TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2nd International Conference on Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (iCEAT 2023). This conference is organized by the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (CEAT-UPLB). As organizer, CEAT-UPLB reserves the right and sole discretion to limit or deny access of any individual or entity for violation of any provision indicated in this document.
This document sets out the Terms and Conditions between the organizers of iCEAT 2023, CEAT-UPLB, and the PARTICIPANTS. Please read this document carefully.
Terms of Service of the Official website of iCEAT 2023
By accessing the official website of iCEAT 2023 (https://iceat.uplb.edu.ph/), you are agreeing to comply and be bound by the conditions indicated herein and all applicable Philippine laws and regulations.
Materials on the iCEAT website are the property of CEAT-UPLB and should not be modified, reproduced, or redistributed in any form except when
- the purpose is for personal use only, in which case the website must be acknowledged as source of material; or
- permission is obtained from CEAT-UPLB.
Materials on the iCEAT website are provided on an “as is” basis. CEAT-UPLB will not be liable for misuse and/or misinformation arising from unauthorized use of materials appearing in or linked to the website.
Materials on the iCEAT website may contain errors (e.g. technical, typographical, or photographic) and/or may not be updated. Website content may change without prior notice.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions of iCEAT 2023
By registering to the iCEAT 2023, the PARTICIPANT acknowledges and accepts the Terms and Conditions contained herein.
Registration confirmations are auto generated and are sent by email. If you did not receive any confirmation, please send an email to iceat.uplb@up.edu.ph.
Use of personal information
CEAT-UPLB abides by the Republic Act 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012).
CEAT-UPLB will not disclose personal information to another party except when required by law.
Participation as Conference Speaker
CEAT-UPLB may share the biographical information and contact details of Conference Speakers with the conference participants. Other information such as the name, recent photo, email address, affiliation, link to company website and/or professional online pages may be published on the iCEAT 2023 website.
Prior to their presentation, Conference Speakers may be requested to accomplish a release agreement or copyright form allowing CEAT-UPLB to publish their presentation materials in the conference proceedings.
Participation as Presenting Author or Co-author of Accepted Technical Paper
CEAT-UPLB may share the biographical information and contact details of Presenting Authors and Co-authors with the conference participants. Other information such as the name, recent photo, email address, affiliation, link to company website and/or professional online pages may be published on the iCEAT 2023 website.
Prior to their presentation, Presenting Authors and Co-authors may be requested to accomplish a release agreement or copyright form allowing CEAT-UPLB to publish their presentation materials in the conference proceedings.
Use of photos and videos taken during the conference
Digital images, audio and/or video recordings obtained by PARTICIPANTS of the conference must be for personal and/or non-commercial use only. PARTICIPANTS shall be held liable for any unlawful use of these materials.
CEAT-UPLB shall obtain digital images, audio and/or video recordings of the conference for documentation purposes. These may be posted real-time and/or on a later date(s) on the conference website and on other official social media platforms of UPLB and its units.
CEAT-UPLB will not be held liable for any photos/audios/videos posted on websites or social media accounts that are not directly controlled by CEAT-UPLB.
Other Important Policies
CEAT-UPLB reserves the right to change, amend, add, or remove any of the Terms and Conditions at its discretion without prior notice. If any of the conditions above become invalid, the rest shall remain in force.
The views expressed by any individual PARTICIPANT (attendee, speaker, oral/poster presenter, sponsor) or member of any of the conference committees do not necessarily represent those of CEAT-UPLB.
