COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND AGRO-INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY
The College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) traces its roots to the former Department of Agricultural Engineering created in 1912 as one of the departments of the University of the Philippines College of Agriculture. In 1976, the Department was elevated to the Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (INSAET). On February 24, 1983, CEAT was established with the approval of the UP Board of Regents in its 958th meeting. Since then, CEAT has been hailed as one of the best engineering colleges in the country, offering degree programs in Agricultural and Biosystems, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, and Mechanical Engineering. It has continuously produced quality graduates as well as developed and generated technologies and knowledge products.
