The International Conference of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology (iCEAT) is an annual event organized by the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology (CEAT) of the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB). It aims to provide a venue for discussion and recommendations among leading experts, educators , policy makers, and industries on the latest trends, issues, and solutions for the field of engineering and agro-industrial technology.
iCEAT envisions working collaboratively with various stakeholders for a universal call to take action towards sustainable development goals (SDGs) as set forth by the United Nations (UN). This includes no poverty, zero hunger, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, industry, innovation and infrastructure, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, and climate action.
For this year, iCEAT 2023 will explore, discuss, and interconnect trends and advances in materials and processes in many sectors namely food, environment, energy, health, manufacturing, and information and communication technology. We experienced disruptions to our routines when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the globe. The pandemic, however, also sparked technological and engineering advancements targeted toward the new normal, with a focus on sustainability and future-proofing our society. Such innovations open many opportunities to address and solve urgent and critical challenges, possibly on a global scale. iCEAT 2023 will offer its participants engaging learning opportunities, chances to expand our body of collective knowledge, and a venue to connect with potential collaborators.
